Account Deletion Information
1. What Account Deletion Means
Flower currently does not use a server-side account system. Your data is stored locally on your device. The Delete Account action permanently removes local data associated with Flower from your device. It is designed to help ensure that app data does not remain behind when you reset or stop using the app.
2. Data Deleted
The account deletion process permanently deletes the following local data:
- Profile information: name and profile photo
- Body measurements: weight, height, age, date of birth, and gender
- Videos: uploaded dance videos in the
flower-media/videosfolder, video thumbnails, video names, durations, and markers - Practice records: session history, watch time per video, practice dates, and daily, weekly, and monthly statistics
- App preferences: theme, view mode, language preference, player settings, skip duration, and notification preferences
- Goals and onboarding data: daily minute goal, calorie goal, main metric, dance level, goal, barriers, psychological preference answers, and tone segment
- Quota data: video upload usage records
- App activity data: app open days and streak information
- Subscription interaction data: offer display and rejection timestamps, paywall close counts, trial timestamps, and offer code history
- Developer test data: mock Pro overrides or date overrides, if present
3. Data Not Deleted
The following data is not controlled by the local account deletion process:
- RevenueCat records: purchase and subscription records processed for App Store subscriptions are handled by RevenueCat and Apple policies.
- Apple subscription records: If you have an active subscription, deleting local Flower data does not cancel it. You must cancel through Apple subscription settings.
- iOS widget cache: Widgets may briefly show old information until iOS refreshes them.
Important: Deleting your Flower data does not cancel your subscription. If you have an active subscription, cancel it separately through App Store subscription settings.
4. Difference from Subscription Cancellation
Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate actions:
- Subscription cancellation: stops future billing, keeps Pro access until the current period ends, and preserves local data.
- Account deletion: permanently deletes local data, does not cancel the subscription, and cannot be undone.
If you want both to cancel your subscription and delete your local data, cancel your subscription first, then delete your account data in Flower.
5. How to Delete Your Account
To delete your local Flower data:
- Open Flower and go to the Profile tab.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Delete Account near the bottom of the page.
- Review the warning screen.
- Use Support Page if you want to read this information first.
- Tap Delete All My Data to confirm.
After the process completes, the app returns to its first-launch state.
6. Irreversibility
Account deletion is irreversible. Deleted data cannot be recovered. Flower does not provide server backup or cloud sync for your local practice data, so restoring deleted data is not technically possible. Before deleting:
- Save any videos you want to keep to your device gallery or another location.
- Consider taking screenshots of statistics you want to keep.
- Cancel your subscription first if you no longer want it to renew.
7. Backup Recommendation
Before deleting your data, we recommend backing up the following if you want to keep it:
- Videos: copy videos from the Flower folder in the Files app to your device gallery or another safe location.
- Marker notes: save any notes attached to video markers separately.
Profile information, preferences, and statistics cannot be exported from the current app.
8. Widget Data
iOS widgets, including Motivation, Heatmap, and Stats widgets, may briefly show old data immediately after account deletion. They reset after the next widget refresh cycle. Opening and closing the app may help trigger a refresh.
9. Frequently Asked Questions

A: No. Flower does not provide a backup or recovery system for deleted local data.
Q: Can I use the app again after deleting my data?
A: Yes. When you open the app again, you start as a new user and can complete onboarding again.
