Explicit Consent Notice
1. Scope
This Explicit Consent Notice explains the consent requested for processing body measurement and similar personal data inside Flower. The app uses this information only to provide local personalization, calorie estimates, goals, and practice statistics.
Flower is a local-first dance practice app. The data covered by this notice is stored primarily on your device and is not sold or used for advertising.
2. Special Category Personal Data Processed
Depending on what you enter in the app, Flower may process weight, height, age, date of birth, gender, profile photo, practice preferences, and related profile details. Some of this information may be treated as sensitive or special category data under applicable privacy law.
You can use core video practice features without providing every optional profile field, but calorie estimates and some personalized statistics may require body measurement data.
3. Processing Purposes
Flower processes this data to estimate calories, personalize daily goals, show practice progress, calculate statistics, adapt onboarding and notification tone, and improve the usefulness of the app experience on your device.
The data is not used to make legal or similarly significant decisions about you. It is not used for third-party advertising or data brokerage.
4. Processing Method
Information is provided manually by you through onboarding, profile settings, and app preferences. Practice data is created automatically as you use Flower, such as when you complete a practice session or update a goal.
The app stores this information locally using app storage and local files. Subscription verification is handled separately through Apple and RevenueCat as described in the Privacy Policy and Subscription Terms.
5. Retention and Security
Data remains on your device for as long as you keep it in the app. You can update profile details, remove optional data, or delete local account data from the app. Account deletion clears the local Flower profile, videos, practice history, widget data, and related preferences controlled by the app.
Flower relies on iOS sandboxing and local device protections. You should keep your device protected with passcodes, biometric protection, and operating system updates.
6. Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting or clearing the relevant profile data in the app, deleting local account data, or contacting us by email at flowerdanceapp@gmail.com with a consent withdrawal request.
Withdrawing consent may disable calorie estimates, body-measurement-based statistics, and some personalized goal or progress features. It does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.
7. Data Subject Declaration
By confirming this consent in the app, you state that you have read this notice, understand the categories of data and processing purposes, and freely consent to the processing of the relevant information for the app features described above.
You also understand that consent can be withdrawn later and that withdrawal may limit features that depend on the data.
