KVKK Privacy Notice
1. Data Controller
Under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), personal data processed in connection with Flower is handled by the Flower app as data controller, reachable at flowerdanceapp@gmail.com.
Flower is designed as a local-first app, and most user data is stored directly on the user's device.
2. Personal Data Processed
Flower may process identity and profile data such as name or nickname; contact data provided during support requests; body and profile data such as weight, height, age, date of birth, gender, and profile photo; usage data such as practice duration, frequency, modes, app open days, streaks, and total practice count; and transaction data such as subscription status and purchase verification information.
Uploaded videos, video thumbnails, marker notes, onboarding answers, device model, operating system version, and app version may also be processed for app functionality.
3. Special Category Personal Data
Body measurements, gender, profile photo, and similar information may be considered special category or sensitive personal data depending on applicable law. Flower uses this data for calorie estimates, profile personalization, statistics, goals, and local app experience.
This data is optional where possible. Some app features may be limited if the user does not provide it.
4. Purposes of Processing
Personal data is processed to provide video practice tools, maintain the local video library, calculate practice statistics, estimate calories, personalize onboarding and notifications, verify subscription access, provide support, handle user requests, and meet legal obligations.
Flower does not process personal data for advertising networks, third-party data sale, or social media tracking.
5. Data Collection Method
Data is collected through the Flower app by automatic means during normal app use and manually when the user enters profile information, onboarding answers, videos, settings, or support requests.
Most data is stored through local app storage and the app documents directory. Videos and thumbnails are kept locally under Flower-managed media storage.
6. Legal Basis
Processing may rely on performance of app services, legitimate interests in providing and improving local app functionality, compliance with legal obligations, establishment or defense of rights, and explicit consent where required for special category data.
Subscription verification is necessary to provide Free and Pro feature access. Support data is processed to answer user requests.
7. Data Transfers
Most personal data is not transferred to Flower servers. Limited subscription-related information may be processed by RevenueCat and Apple App Store for purchase verification, billing, cancellations, refunds, and restore purchases.
RevenueCat may process App Store receipts, subscription status, plan type, and trial information. Apart from these service providers, Flower does not transfer app data to advertising networks or data brokers.
8. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
Flower may use local segmentation based on onboarding answers, goals, dance level, barriers, and preferences to choose tone, reminders, and motivation messages. This personalization is intended only to improve the user experience.
Flower does not use automated processing to make legal or similarly significant decisions about users.
9. Retention Period
Most data is retained on the device for as long as the user keeps it in Flower. When local account deletion is completed, app-controlled profile data, videos, practice history, preferences, widget data, and notifications are cleared from the device.
Apple and RevenueCat may retain purchase records according to their own legal and operational retention policies.
10. Your Rights under KVKK Article 11
Under KVKK Article 11, users may request information about whether personal data is processed, the purposes of processing, recipients of transferred data, correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, deletion or destruction where conditions apply, notification of corrections or deletions to third parties, objection to automated results, and compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing.
Because most Flower data is stored locally, many rights can also be exercised directly in the app by editing or deleting local data.
11. Applying to the Data Controller
Requests under KVKK may be sent to flowerdanceapp@gmail.com. The request should clearly explain the subject and include enough information to verify and process the request.
Requests are evaluated within the legal timeframes. If the request is incomplete or unclear, additional information may be requested.
